Bloom through the Gloom
We all know how we feel about winter. Enjoy it for the holidays and then hope it quickly leaves. We also know that here in Ohio there really is no rhyme or reason to the weather... this is where our deep love of Snowdrops and Crocuses comes in. There is something so encouraging about seeing delicate blooms peeking out from under the snow, old leaves, mud, and other nonsense the gloomy seasons leave behind.
It's important to realize you are like these flowers. You may feel delicate and easily bruised or broken... but you are still blooming through the mud and debris of a difficult season.
As we are looking forward to spring, we are so excited to put away the winter coats, gloves and hats. We've been pulling out last spring's clothes already... it's like a whole new wardrobe, mostly because we don't remember what we already have!!
Sarah loves being outside in the spring, and seeing all the growth. The newness just makes her heart smile!
Rachel's favorite part is when the leaves start to come out on the trees. It seems almost overnight, and when she drives through her neighborhood, every year without fail, it makes her tear up. (She's so dramatic.)
Sami's favorite part of spring is the flowers! She says that when the sun shines on the blooms, they just make her happy. :)
Its interesting that all of us love the new. Just goes to show that seeing those blooms really can perk us up!
What is your favorite part of spring? How will you be enjoying the False Spring days we will be enjoying this weekend?
We love seeing your happy smiles when you come to see us in the store. We are so grateful for all of you and the joy you bring us when you visit!
